Living Water: A Healing Journey
Some people might call it intuition. For me, it was a nudge from the Holy Spirit.
I had never been quite comfortable with the fact that my ovaries were left after a partial hysterectomy at 37. I understood it, but I didn’t like it. So, at age 61, with absolutely NO symptoms and a recent MRI that revealed nothing to worry about, I asked my doctor to remove them.
On April 28, 2026, I had an elective, laparoscopic surgery to remove my ovaries.
Praise the Lord I listened to that “voice” in my head because, as it turns out, my ovaries were... well, not good.
A week later, we received the official pathology report. Then we met with an oncologist, had a CT scan followed by a second surgery to take another look, and then on to my first chemo treatment. All of that happened in about three weeks.
This blog is the rest of the story.
There are facts, and there is Truth - the physical and the spiritual.
I appreciate those who deal with the facts every day, especially as they pertain to my physical case. However, I prefer not to live by my portal, waiting for results, deciphering numbers that I really don’t understand. Even the staging is not something I choose to dwell on.
I prefer to live in the Spirit and stand on the Word. I have found it to be a much truer vantage point, and that is how I am going to share.
I will include the facts for those who simply want to know where I am in the journey, but I invite you to walk with me through the spiritual side of this healing journey.
That is where I will dwell.
